Shoppers in Williamstown, Mass., might notice a stylish new presence on Spring Street this weekend: the first-ever blink-or-you-might-miss-it twiGs Pop-Up! Shop situated inside the Harrison Gallery [which, by the way, represents painter John MacDonald, profiled in the cover story of the October issue of Berkshire Living] on October 23-24.

Inspired by the mobile, transient boutiques cropping up in unique spaces of urban locales from New York City to Los Angeles, Lenox-based fashionista Lisa Nappo is loading up her car this Saturday (thus closing twiGs on Church Street early, around 4 p.m.), and zipping up Route 7 to showcase her hip, contemporary women’s—and select kids’—clothing for a wine-fueled launch from 5-8 p.m.

The “shop,” a brightly lit block of space to the back of the gallery, reopens on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., before it disappears almost as quickly as it arrived. Short-lived, but sweet.

“I’m bringing as much as I can,” Nappo gushes, which translates as enough to cram onto a few rolling garment racks and pile atop a twelve-foot-long wooden bench.

“Lots of denim and cords, skinny jeans, soft comfy sweaters, flannel shirts, basic layering pieces, pretty dresses....Chic, cool, everyday clothes for the lifestyle we lead here in the Berkshires,” Nappo quips. "Berkshire style."

(Brands include: Velvet, Vince, Current/Elliott, Joe’s Jeans, Citizens of Humanity, AG, Splendid, James Perse, Graham & Spencer, Ella Moss, C & C California, babyrockstar, and appaman.)

Per frequent requests from twiGs customers and friends, Nappo hopes to refresh the NoCo retail scene, however briefly.

“Logistically it’s difficult for women in Williamstown to come down to twiGs in Lenox. And it's too complicated to open another store right now. This is a chance to test the waters in an existing space. I’m so excited about it!”

Retail-therapy seekers should be, too.
