The Annual North Plain Farm Pig Roast

As autumn approaches and summer picnics begin to feel stale, the annual North Plain Farm Pig Roast in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, offers a fresh and hearty feast brimming with local cuisine. The September dinner celebrates the harvest, featuring dishes incorporating produce from several local farms: Farm Girl Farm veggies, Equinox Farm field greens, Blue Moon Shrooms mushrooms, Berkshire Blue cheese, and, of course, a pasture-raised, pit-smoked pig from North Plain Farm. Beer from Berkshire Brewing Company and live music will put the finishing touches on an evening that brings community together for a true farm-to-table experience. [SEPTEMBER 2009]
